The BS/MS Program

What is the BS/MS Program?

The BS/MS Program allows undergraduate students to earn credits towards their NJIT master’s degree.

Undergraduates with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, but under 3.2, can take up to three graduate courses for BA/MS or BS/MS program acceleration.
Undergraduates with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher can take up to four graduate courses for BA/MS or BS/MS program acceleration.

Eligibility Requirements

  • You must at least be a junior
  • You must have at least a GPA of 3.0
  • You must have at least two full time semesters (24 credits) left before graduation
  • You must have at least five (5) major courses in the baccalaureate program completed

How to Join the BS/MS Program

If you would like to apply for the BS/MS program, please follow the below procedure:

  1. Fill out the program application form here: https://connect.njit.edu/register/dualadmissionapp
  2. After you have submitted the form, make sure that you email Ashley Hunter (Ashley.hunter@njit.edu) and she will waive the fee and upload your transcripts. To contact Ashley Hunter by phone, please call 973-596-6231. Please remember not to pay the admission fee.
  3. After you have been accepted into the BS/MS program, please fill out the following form to be able to register for graduate courses that would count towards both BS and MS programs and submit it to Sylvana Brito at Brito@njit.edu: Undergraduate Students Taking Graduate Courses As Part Of The Joint Degree Program

Taking Graduate Courses for Graduate Credit Only

If you would like to take graduate courses as an undergraduate (not counted towards the BS program), please complete the following form, Undergraduates Taking Graduate Courses For Graduate Credit Only, and submit it to Sylvana Brito at Brito@njit.edu.

Eligibility Requirements

  • You are in the final two semesters of your anticipated degree completion
  • Your cumulative GPA is at least 2.8
