Next Generation Professional Practice Seminar. From engineers to designers to business leaders, NJIT makes a real difference in the lives of its students.
NJIT Next Gen is a non-credit course that will introduce students to several soft skills that will enhance their ability to succeed in the field of engineering. Students will develop skills in communication, relationship building, public speaking, business etiquette, time management, interviewing and presentation. The course will also help students improve their self-confidence, emotional intelligence, and interpersonal skills. Students will engage in a variety of in-class activities, homework, group projects, and presentations throughout the semester. The group projects will provide a platform to focus on the skills learned and connect skill sets. One project will be selected by student consensus from a choice of three or four projects.
